Despite the eye rolling, your teenager will appreciate it if you help them plan a great birthday party. Young teens who can’t drive yet are still at the mercy of planning events with their parents. Suggest one of these ideas to be the coolest parent on the block.

Limo Party

Many people are successful adults before they get a chance to ride in luxury limousines Jacksonville FL. One thing teens love is to get to act like adults. Renting a limo for your teen’s party will put them at the center of attention. Half of the fun is pulling up in front of each friend’s house and welcoming him or her aboard. Take the whole crew to a pizza parlor, or better yet, a food truck park where they can bask in the glow of their upscale ride.

Color Fight Party

Teens may act too cool to run around and giggle, but a color fight party will have them doing just that. Send out invitations asking each guest to show up in a white t-shirt they don’t mind getting dirty and a pair of sunglasses. Order bags of powder or make your own. Give each guest about a ½ pound of powder in their own baggie and let the fun begin. This part of the party lasts less than 10 minutes but extend the fun by ordering glow-in-the-dark powder. Put a black light bulb in the garage and have a dance party after the powder has settled. Head to the park for a round of kickball and ice cream. Be sure to take lots of pictures!

Outdoor Movie Party

Set up a “drive-in” movie in your backyard with a projector and screen. Show a fun kid’s movie such as Frozen or Moana that everyone can sing along to at the top of their lungs. Serve hotdogs, popcorn and offer a selection of candy just like at a real theatre.

Entertaining a teenager is a challenge. Throw a cool party for your teen and just maybe you’ll get a hug and a smile.
